Interactive scrolling page for Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure
I have worked on multiple campaigns for clients in the marine, industrial and construction industries, including Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure. This client needed to create a unique scrolling landing page, which featured a dynamic user experience to explain the benefits of a 'dynamic' product.
The copy I created needed to explain a complex product to a marine audience that is very traditional.
Dynamic messaging for a dynamic product
Every year, the world’s ports deal with an increasing amount of traffic. These huge hubs – some with upwards of 150K employees – transfer 90% of global trade. And hubs this large have some pretty big business challenges:
- Accommodating ever-increasing traffic and demand
- Minimizing their environmental effect
- Keeping operational costs low
- Reducing health and safety incidents
- Minimizing downtime
Our objective: engage the port community and let them experience the functionality and benefits of Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure’s flagship, newly launched SmartPort product – DynaMoor.
The beating heart of the campaign was a digital content piece that allowed users to truly experience this product first hand. Through an immersive microsite, our target could scroll and control a 3D product animation.
Short messaging - made powerful and informative
The DynaMoor scrollable experience is calm, smooth and efficient. Explore it and discover everything port operators want from a piece of content. The 3D-modeled animation takes customers through the product stage by stage. But for the busier port operator, short-cut navigation was included. The messaging was short, powerful and informative. The scroll-activated experience allows the user to control the animation backwards and forwards, exploring every aspect of the product and its benefits.
To augment the experience, we created an animated video that people could activate at any point. This was the perfect launch tool tailored to the perfect audience.
Across the entirety of its smart tech offering, Trelleborg grew sales to 9.2% of its existing business (31% above the target). DynaMoor is key to this, with sales high and more in the pipeline.
